Hello and welcome! My name is Michelle Ritzen and I’m the artist and designer behind the brand.

 

I have always been enamored with color and endlessly curious about the world around me. I gained a vintage sensibility from my family who introduced me to the music of the 70’s, antiquing, and a great love of historic homes. I believe in designing work that makes our surroundings unique and vibrant. I love hiking, traveling, and spending time in nature. These things have greatly influenced my visual vocabulary as an artist and designer.

I'm a self taught surface pattern designer but my background is in jewelry design gaining my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas State University. There I learned all the foundations for great design: color theory, composition, and history of art & architecture.​ I draw everything by hand and then transform them into vector illustrations on my iPad in Affinity Designer making them easy to work with on a variety of products.
